Registration
All students are required to pay fees, and notification of those fees is contained in letters sent to students or their sponsors. In addition, the payment period is detailed on the bulletin board in the CNU website (usually mid-February for the spring semester and mid-August for the fall semester). The total amount is determined at the end of each year and usually averages to be around USD$2,000.
Course Registration
Registration Protocol: International students are required to register online for courses after receiving consultation from their supervising professors on class schedules and syllabi within the designated course registration period of each semester.
Credit hours required for each semester are as follows.
Department or school requiring 120 credit hours for graduation: 16 credit hours
Department or school requiring 130 credit hours for graduation: 17 credit hours
Department or school requiring 140 credit hours for graduation: 18 credit hours
Department or school requiring 150 credit hours for graduation: 20 credit hours
Department or school requiring 160 credit hours for graduation: 24 credit hours
(Department of Architecture and Architectural major: 18 credit hours)
Departments of Veterinary medicine, Pre-medicine, and Dentistry: 21 credit hours per semester
College of Medicine: 51 credit hours for academic year system

Courses
- Length of Curses:
The duration of year-long courses must exceed 30 weeks (15 weeks per semester). - Academic Year and Semester:
The academic year is divided into spring and fall semesters, and summer and winter school periods. Classes in the fall semester may begin within two weeks prior to the start of the semester. - Spring semester: from March 1 to the end of August
Fall semester: from September 1 to the end of February the following year
The length of courses per semester should exceed 15 weeks. Summer and winter schools should exceed 4 weeks in length.The academic year is from the first day of March to the last day of February the following year.
Evaluation
All examinations are held at the instructor's discretion.
Evaluations are conducted by instructors based on their own evaluation principles. Students, who attend less than 3/4 of the total number of classes will receive a failing grade (F).
Evaluation may be provided with the following scale (equivalent GPA in brackets): F (0), D0 (1.0), D+ (1.5), C0 (2.0), C+ (2.5), B0 (3.0), B+ (3.5), A0 (4.0), and A+ (4.5).
Academic warnings are given to students whose GPAs have fallen below 1.75, or who failed to register without justification. Students who receive 3 academic warnings are asked to withdraw from CNU.
Students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, are subject to failure under the following conditions:
* Students who fail twice are asked to withdraw from CNU.

Graduation
A degree is awarded to a student who meets graduation qualification standards according to school rules and regulations. Students are entitled to graduate after systematically completing designated courses according to the credit composition table and earning the credits required for graduation.
Graduation Requirements: Students must have enrolled in a minimum of 8 semesters, or 12 semesters for Colleges of Medicine, and Dentistry Medicine.
Students must have enrolled in a maximum of 16 semesters, or 24 semesters for Colleges of Medicine, and Dentistry Medicine.
Students must have earned all credits required for graduation (120-160 credit hours).
Students must have systematically completed the designated courses (required and elective) of his/her College or School according to the graduation credit composition table.
Students must have achieved a CGPA of 1.75 or higher (including summer and winter schools).
Students must have met graduation qualification requirements (course, foreign language, and computer skills) except for students who entered CNU prior to 1999. Students who entered CNU in 2004 or later, must complete Global English I and II to fulfill foreign language requirements.
Early Graduation Students who earn all credit hours required for graduation from their College or School in their 6th or 7th semester, have CGPAs of 3.75 or higher, and meet graduation qualification requirements may qualify for early graduation. Students who give up the right to graduate early or are affected by certain regulations set by their College or School may, however, be ineligibl
